HELENA — The state Justice Department says a 2-year-old St. Ignatius boy has been found after authorities issued a missing and endangered child alert for him.

Justice Department spokesman John Barnes says the Flathead Tribal Police Department notified his agency Thursday that Camas Assiniboine was turned over to law-enforcement officers.

Barnes says the boy is in good health.

Tribal police officials say Camas was reported missing at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

He was being cared for by his grandmother and was in custody of Child Protective Services.

Tribal police say he was taken by his parents, 26-year-old Michael Assiniboine and 29-year-old Jessica Conko.

Barnes says no arrests have been made as of Thursday afternoon and he had no further details about how or where Camas was found.
