Four students found with marijuana
An administrator at a Bigfork school contacted the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office after catching a student with marijuana shortly after 9 a.m. Monday, then again when three more students were found with marijuana two and a half hours later.
A man who complained that a farmer had decided he had too many horses and shot about six of them was told it was legal for the horses’ owner to put them down as long as it was done in a humane manner and that all the animal control officer could do was advise the owner of other options for placing the horses. The caller refused to give the officer the name or address of the horses’ owner, so the story could not be confirmed.
A county garbage truck was called to empty several Dumpsters after remains from a marijuana grow operation including stems, bags of marijuana leaves, stems, and potted roots were found in them.
