Albert R. “Art” Trenkle, 86

Albert R. “Art” Trenkle passed away Jan. 22, 2014, at Brendan House.

 He was born May 28, 1927, at East Glacier to Eula and Albert “Dutch” Trenkle. He grew up in East Glacier, Columbia Falls and Great Falls.

 Art served in the Navy during World War II. He retired from the U.S. Forest Service, Flathead Forest. He was a friend of Bill W’s and was proud of his 46 years of sobriety.

 He is survived by his wife, Anna, of 65 years; his children, Randy and Betty Trenkle of Malaga, Wash., Marla and Jack Ohmart of Columbia Falls, and Chad and Marcia Trenkle of Columbia Falls. Art had eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

His gentle ways and the great love he showed his family will be missed.

 A memorial service will be held in the spring for family and friends.
