Dead rabbit in mailbox wasn't 'message'?
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday from a man who said he returned home to find a dead rabbit stuffed in a mailbox on North Riding Road. The man said he had no suspects and he believes it was a random act.
A man calling from First Street Southeast in Hungry Horse reported that a vehicle with a key left inside was stolen, but it was apparently located soon after the report.
A woman calling from Hodgson Road reported that a neighbor’s dog killed some turkeys.
Someone reported the theft of a raft after it was left at the Presentine fishing access.
There was a report of a vehicle being broken into on Moose Run Road.
A man reported returning to his Bierney Creek Road home, finding the door open and a gun missing, along with ammunition.
Someone calling from U.S. 2 in the West Glacier area reported that a roof rack and cargo container were stolen from a vehicle.

A man calling from Foy’s Lake Road said he was flagged down by another man who was claiming that he was assaulted. The man was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

Sunday afternoon, someone calling from 10th Street West reported the theft of a game console and several games.
There was a report from Airport Road about an iPad and other items being stolen from a vehicle.
A man calling from 10th Street West reported that he had been assaulted by a group of people that he had evicted. The man said he was assaulted while he was sleeping in a hammock.
There was a report of a speeding vehicle rolling many times on Foy’s Lake Road. Remarkably, the man who was driving the vehicle was up and walking around with just a few lacerations.
A woman called from Ali Loop to report that her boyfriend had been beating her. The man was soon after arrested for partner-family member assault.
Early Monday, at about 12:30 a.m., there was a report of an intoxicated man crawling down the middle of South Meridian Road. The man could not be located by officers.
There was a report of three tires being slashed on a vehicle on First Avenue West.

Two electric scooters were reported stolen from a location on Appleway Drive.
A man called Whitefish Police from Wisconsin Avenue Sunday to report that he believes someone slipped a drug into his wife’s food the night before. He said he took video of how his wife was acting.
A woman calling from Colorado Avenue reported that after a neighbor repeatedly rang her doorbell and ran away, she sent her son to tell the boy’s mother about it, and when he did, the mother pushed the boy down and he bumped his head.
At about 12:20 a.m. Monday, two men had to be escorted out of a Central Avenue bar because they were harassing customers.
Someone calling from East Second Street reported that two intoxicated men smashed beer cans on the reporting party’s vehicle, causing damage to a side mirror.
Columbia Falls Police got a report from Second Street West Sunday about someone going through saddlebags on a motorcycle, and stealing a Harley jacket and a phone.
Two adult otters attacked and injured a boy Monday at Lake of the Woods near Echo Lake east of Kalispell.The attack was reported to Fish, Wildlife and Parks by 911 dispatch. The otters attacked the boy when he was swimming in the lake. The boy received multiple bite wounds to his legs. FWP is investigating.
