Raymond L. Ingram, 84, passed away peacefully on Aug. 8, 2014, at HeathCenter in Kalispell, after a short battle with cancer.
He was born on April 9, 1930, in Trego to Erma Lee and Orpha Ingram. The family moved to the Flathead Valley when he was 6 years old.
Ray married Doris Heuscher on May 15, 1949, in Kalispell.
He worked as a woodsman most of his life and was also a production foreman at Bell Manufacturing for 12 years.
Ray had a great love for the outdoors. Camping and fishing with his family and friends gave him great joy. He was an avid sports fan, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Reds. He enjoyed his friends in the senior bowling league and was always ready for a game of cribbage with family and friends.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather; sisters, Irene, Leola, Marie, Violet, Mildred, Irma and Elta; brothers Hilbert, Will and Bob; and son-in-law, Willie Ward.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Doris; sons, Les and Debbie of Bigfork, and Doug and Rhonda of Utah; daughters, Elaine of Kalispell and Yvonne of Bigfork; his pride and joy, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Ester and Rose; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial luncheon for family and friends will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Aug. 14 at the Swan River Hall.
