Gregory Blaine Anderson, 67
Gregory Blaine Anderson, 67, of Chelem, Mexico, formerly Marion, passed away unexpectedly in Mexico, July 19, 2014.
Greg was born in Chicago to William and Nina Mae Anderson.
He married Graciela Rodriguez in Chelem.
Greg was a compassionate and loving man with many friends around the world. He loved nature and all the animals on the planet. He was a good son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
He worked as a woodworker, welder, jeweler, glass blower, beach rebuilder and alternative energy specialist.
He was a musician, drummer, inventor, spiritual guide, and just an extraordinary human being.
He is survived by his wife, Graciela; his sons, Erik and wife Marcella of Oakland, Calif., and Joshua and wife Evelyn, of Seattle; grandchildren, Kaja, Aaron, Zena, Josh Jr. and Mathew Orbino Anderson and Arlene Joy Orbino; brother, Genley, of Pennslyvania; and many relatives in Mexico.
Gregory did more in his life than most will do in three lifetimes. His son Erik writes, “I am proud and yet daunted by the fact that I must, and am entitled to, pick up the torch and continue the relay in the name of a great man, my father. You will be sorely missed by many and we will try to honor your name always.”
