Wilma Galloway, 84
Wilma Galloway, 84, passed away on Aug. 13, 2014, at the HealthCenter in Kalispell.
She was born on Aug. 11, 1930, to William and Ruth Buck at 4 Woodland Ave. in Kalispell. The house she was born in is still standing! Wilma finished high school at Flathead County High School.
To pass time she really liked playing her crossword puzzles and word find. She liked to garden and was a natural caregiver for her brothers and sisters.
She was married to John Galloway on Jan. 7, 1949, in Kalispell. She was married for 42 years when her beloved husband passed away in 1988. She never remarried.
Wilma was a wife and mother first and foremost. She helped her husband with logging, trapping and raising their seven children. (A real, true Montana woman!)
Wilma was active in her church at Central Bible. She trusted in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as her personal savior. She had a great love for animals, especially her two dogs Babes and Ernie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Galloway; son, Bill Galloway; parents, Ed and Ruth; grandsons, Joshua Phlug and Davey Galloway; her twin brother, William Buck; sisters, Jean Wilks, Verna McCartney and Shirley Gove; her granddaughter, Tammy Galloway; and her grandson, Jean-Paul (Jay Tyler) "Swede" Bellon.
She is survived by her children, David Galloway and his wife Helen Galloway in Dillon, John Galloway in Dillon, Nancy Galloway in Kalispell, Melody Galloway in Kalispell, Delphine Freeman and her husband Jim Freeman in Kalispell, and Lynn Galloway in Kalispell; grandchildren, Eric and his wife Melissa Galloway in Libby, Derrick Freeman in Kalispell, Tony Galloway in Oregon, Michael and his wife Cheryl Peters in Helena, Jeff and his wife Andrea Peters in Oregon, Melinda Galloway in Billings, Chris Lee in Montana, Jennifer and her husband Dennis Hindale in Libby, Lacy Galloway in Dillon, Zack Galloway and his wife Crystal in Dillon, Rachel and her husband Adam Wallette in Kalispell, Matthew and his wife Angela Freeman in Kalispell, George and Dhonna Bellon of North Dakota, and Dominic Lee of North Dakota; 53 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Vera Fuller and David, Jack, Gary, Terry and Linda Buck, all of Kalispell.
A visitation for Wilma will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Aug.18 at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held following the viewing at 2 p.m., Aug.18, at Glacier Memorial Gardens in Kalispell.
