Learn about Whitefish City Hall design on Thursday
A meeting to gather public comments about the design of Whitefish’s forthcoming new City Hall and parking structure will be held Thursday at the current City Hall, 402 E. Second St.
Mosaic Architecture of Helena will present its design concepts starting at 7 p.m. and Whitefish residents will be able to comment throughout the evening.
The Whitefish Future City Hall Steering Committee meets at 2 p.m. at City Hall the same day, and some time will be set aside for public comments at that meeting, too.
The steering committee includes the mayor, a City Council member, city staff, a licensed architect, members of the public and representatives from the Whitefish Chamber of Commerce and Heart of Whitefish downtown support group.
The new City Hall complex, expected to cost about $11.5 million, will be built at the site of the current City Hall. The project has been in the city’s long-range plans for several years.
