Children chastised for playing guns

A group of kids on a street corner near Seventh Avenue West North were reported for pointing guns and “making gun noises with their mouths.” The boys were playing with airsoft guns and received a talking-to from the Kalispell Police Department and their mother.

Police responded to a call from a liquor store on U.S. 93 South on Friday after someone stole a pint of brandy in a pistol-shaped glass.

A transient who had been sleeping behind a North Meridian Road location attempted to break into someone’s car. One of the employees at the location pinned the man down until police arrived.

A DUI was called in after someone saw the driver of a vehicle on U.S. 93 North “take three giant gulps” from a vodka bottle while driving.

A disorderly man was reported from Woodland Park Drive early Saturday morning after he refused to leave the location and stood in the parking lot, “chanting gang-related remarks at customers.”

A verbal disagreement between two adults regarding house cleaning required police intervention Saturday on Third Avenue West.

A woman called the Whitefish Police Department from a location on Baker Avenue on Friday to report that there are a lot of cars that drive by her house “very loudly.” She requested extra patrol in the area because she thought it “sounded creepy.”

On Kalispell Avenue on Friday night, someone called in a barking dog “that sounded very upset.”

A woman was reported screaming like she was in trouble in a Whitefish park. Officers located a group of people on foot and sent them on their way.

A call came in regarding a man standing on the side of the road on U.S. 93 South at around 4 a.m. Saturday. The caller thought the man was possibly sleepwalking. Officers kindly assisted the man with a ride.
