Wilson passes Polson past Raymond

POLSON — Tanner Wilson completed 13 of 19 passes for 155 yards and three touchdowns to guide Polson past Raymond, Alberta, 29-26 in the season football opener for the Pirates.

Wilson, a sophomore, was making his first varsity start behind center. He also rushed 14 times for 73 yards and a score. His touchdown run was from 16 yards out.

Matthew Rensvold had five receptions for 71 yards and two touchdowns, 23 and 22 yards.

Raymond scored first on a 64-yard run by Rhett Ellingson. He also scored on a 34-yard romp in the fourth quarter.

Polson has a nonconference contest on Friday at Dillon.
