GREAT FALLS — Glacier junior Colton Becker scored six goals and assisted on a seventh to lead Glacier to its first two soccer wins of the season at the Great Falls Jamboree on Saturday.

Becker scored both goals in a 2-0 victory over Butte in the first outing for the Wolfpack. He started the scoring in the 10th minute on an assist from Colton Zauner and Brandon Purdy assisted the second with three minutes left in the match, sealing the victory.

The Wolfpack had no trouble showing its strength against Great Falls High in the second game of the day, with Becker scoring the first four goals of the contest to give Glacier a comfortable lead.

Becker scored twice in the first eight minutes and the first two after halftime.

He was on the other end of the pass on the Wolfpack’s fifth goal, assisting a goal by Tyler Keller.

Great Falls added a tally but Glacier answered a minute later.

Kade Deleray scored his first of the season on an assist from Connor Heil with three minutes to play to cap the scoring.

“We possessed the ball well in the midfield,” first-year Glacier coach Ryan Billiet said.

“It really opened up some space and we played some nice penetrating balls to get in behind. We were really dynamic in the final third. It’s a great way to start the season.”

Glacier’s next match is Thursday with Flathead.
