C-Falls, Libby win football openers
LEWISTOWN — Columbia Falls quarterback Dakota Bridwell passed for 309 yards and five touchdowns, three going to Ty Morgan, as Columbia Falls crushed Lewistown 47-7 in the Class A football opener for both schools.
Bridwell, a sophomore, hit Morgan on scoring strikes of 62, 15 and 20 yards. Morgan finished with 11 receptions for 263 yards.
Columbia Falls outgained Lewistown in total yards 572 to 211.
Gabby Deloime and Trevor Houston had the other two touchdown receptions from Bridwell.
Ike Schweikert and Wyatt Green scored on runs of 3 and 5 yards for Columbia Falls.
The Wildkats, up 14-0 at intermission, tallied 33 points in the final half.
Columbia Falls continues with nonconference play on Friday at Hamilton.

Bonners Ferry 6
LIBBY — Zach Crace ran for 210 yards and a touchdown and intercepted two passes on defense to lead Libby to a win in its opening game of the season.
Crace added the first score of the game on a 16-yard run to give the Loggers all the lead they would need.
It was also the only score of the first half.
The Libby defense held the Badgers from Idaho to just 143 yards of offense, allowing the Loggers to run to victory.
Libby opened the second half with an 84-yard pass and catch from Dom Voorhies to Erik Lauer.
David Winter scored from four yards out to add the last touchdown for the Loggers.
The only score for Bonners Ferry came on an interception return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
