Car reportedly pushed into a ditch

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office took a call from an upset Kila man who reported that his friend’s vehicle had been pushed down an embankment. The friend parked in a pullout on Truman Creek Road and found the car in a ditch the next morning.

A man on Evergreen Drive in Kalispell was worried for his wife because she had mixed a lot of pills with alcohol and was now lethargic and was having difficulty talking. He kept telling her to wake up and she kept nodding off. He said she had mentioned a few days previously that she wanted to kill herself, so he was unsure if mixing the pills and booze was intentional.

A caller on Kings Way in Kalispell called about a vehicle which had gone through his front yard and knocked over a tree. he was unsure whether it was an accident or intentional criminal mischief, but he asked for extra patrols either way.

Six boys in Kalispell were pulled over after they had been shining a laser into oncoming traffic. The deputy took the laser and said they could have it back if they came into the sheriff’s office to get it.

A Shady Lane recreational vehicle driver was blasting loud music well into the night and annoying his neighbors. An officer checked on it and the man apologized for the loud jams.

Whitefish Police were called multiple times because of slipping and sliding cars all over Whitefish’s icy roads. Some slid into other cars, others crashed into trees and one driver crashed into a stoplight and drove off.

A Cedar Street resident reported her son had his phone stolen from his locker at the high school. The phone had called 911 several times over the last few days but was off now, so officers couldn’t trace it.

A Kalispell Avenue resident called to report a physical disturbance between himself and a woman. His answers were short and he quickly disconnected after saying he needed to leave.

Kalispell Police received a call from a resident reporting a man pounding on his door. The caller said two weeks ago he told the man he was not welcome at his house and the knocker threatened to shoot the homeowner. It turned out it was actually the caller’s wife knocking.

A man’s vehicle was vandalized in a restaurant parking lot and a threatening note was left. He stated he hadn’t lived in the area for a while, so he didn’t know who would want to damage his property.

Columbia Falls Police were notified about a runaway boy who had been gone for several minutes. He ended up at his uncle’s place, who informed police he would take care of him.

The Creston Fire Department took a call about a chimney fire on Steel Mountain Road at 11:52 a.m.

The Whitefish Fire Department took a call about a motor vehicle fire on Mont-Pac Lane at 3:52 p.m.
