Donna L. Sutton, 82

| December 4, 2014 3:08 PM

Donna L. Sutton, a longtime resident of the Flathead Valley, passed away on Nov. 27, 2014, at the age of 82. Although her body was failing, her mind was sharp and witty until the end.

Donna pursued a lifelong love of writing short stories and poetry and was noted in several literary publications.

She was born in Fremont, Ohio, in 1932; the fourth of five sisters. Her two surviving sisters are Ruth Keels of Fremont, and Jeanne Hayes of Clyde, Ohio. Donna was married to Shirly Sutton, who preceded her in death.

She is fondly remembered by her large and boisterous family of six daughters, Barbara Dornfeld of Billings, Claudia Minster of St. Louis, Regina Adams of Kalispell, Terri Weber of Evergreen, and Sandi Pyles of Martin City.

Daughter Wendy McMillan preceded her in death.

In addition, Donna was blessed with 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial celebration is being planned for the summer at Ashley Lake where she and Shirly spent many hours enjoying the scenery, fishing and family.

Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
