BUTTE — Justin Gibson (113), Ryder Day (126), Sam Barber (132) and Eli Horn (285) all posted pins in their first match of the Class AA wrestling season Friday afternoon for Glacier, but it wasn’t enough to get the Wolfpack a dual victory over Butte.

Butte totaled six pins en route to a 43-27 victory.

Horn had the fastest fall, sticking his opponent in 1:30.

Cody Decker (145) had the other win for Glacier, winning by decision.

“It was good to get that first outing out of the way,” Glacier coach Ross Dankers said. “Get those first match jitters behind us.”

Dankers said he saw some good things on the mat as well as “things we need to improve on.”

Glacier is back in action today at the Polson Invitational.
