Meeting ahead on Whitefish road project

The reconstruction of West Seventh Street in Whitefish will be discussed at a meeting on Wednesday hosted by the city of Whitefish.

The meeting runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Whitefish City Hall.

Following the presentation there will be an informal question-and-answer session and an opportunity to review and discuss the project with city officials and design consultants from Robert Peccia & Associates.

The West Seventh Street roadway from Baker Avenue to Karrow Avenue will be rebuilt with curbs, a sidewalk, a bike and pedestrian path and streetlights. Water, sewer and other utilities will also be upgraded.

It’s the next project on the priority list of street projects to be funded with revenue from Whitefish’s 2 percent resort tax.
