Bennett, Olson land Coach of Year awards
Grady Bennett of Glacier High School and Tim Olson of Whitefish High School have been named Coach of the Year for their respective sports by the Montana Coaches Association.
Bennett guided Glacier to a perfect season and its first Class AA football championship last month. The Wolfpack, top ranked for the entire season, whipped No. 2 Great Falls C.M. Russell in the title game 56-19 at Legends Stadium.
Glacier finished 13-0.
Olson led the Whitefish girls to the Class A golf championship in Hamilton in early October.
Whitefish was paced by junior medalist Coral Schulz. The Bulldogs finished 51 strokes ahead of the runner-up.
