Her phone was on mute the hard way

It’s a problem everyone with a cellphone has encountered, but with a scary twist. A man called Columbia Falls Police on Tuesday when he received a call from his wife and could barely understand her. Because she has health problems, he was worried she may have been having a stroke. Fortunately, an ambulance was not needed! It turned out that her phone was in her purse and called him by accident.

Someone ran over a mailbox on Eighth Avenue West and almost hit the power lines.

A dog named “Khan” was reported missing Tuesday to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. The mutt was described as looking like a sheep and also like he’s wearing eyeliner.

A bear den was found near a cabin on Bay Point Drive, according to Whitefish Police.

Kalispell Police were called to Depot Park when someone called saying that a large group of kids congregated in a parking lot there and that they were blocking vehicles so employees could not leave. The caller said that it happens frequently and the group seems to be getting larger.

A dark blue Porsche was seen weaving through traffic on U.S. 93 South on Monday at speeds in excess of 80 miles per hour. The driver received a warning and he promised he wouldn’t do it again.

A man was seen sleeping in a big white car on Third Avenue East North.

A couple of employees at a U.S. 93 South hotel called police because they believed an occupant staying there was selling drugs out of his room.
