Boys basketball: Balanced Bigfork thumps Frenchtown, 70-48

MISSOULA — Adam Jordt turned in a double-double with 13 points and 10 assists to help Bigfork dump Frenchtown 70-48 in boys Northwest and Southwest Class A Tip-Off Classic basketball action Friday afternoon at the University of Montana.

Isaac Martel led the offense for the Vikings (1-0) with 18 points and added seven steals.

John Landon, who scored 12 points in the second half, was next with 16.

Ryder Trent had eight points to go with eight rebounds.

Bigfork outscored Frenchtown 41-20 in the second half.

Bigfork faces Polson tonight at 7. Frenchtown plays Corvallis at 5.

MISSOULA — Polson closed with a strong quarter to spill Anaconda.

Polson, up 47-41 after three quarters, outscored Anaconda 17-11 in the final frame.

Matthew Rensvold tallied 19 points for Polson. Chris McDonald was next with 17.

Polson plays Bigfork tonight at 7. Anaconda faces Whitefish at 9 a.m.

MISSOULA — Jaye Gilder tallied 24 points and Chase Jessop was next with 14 as Corvallis rolled by Libby.

Corvallis doubled the score on the Loggers in the first half, 34-17.

Michael Curtiss had 14 points and Collin Johnson 11 for Libby.

Libby plays Hamilton today at 11 a.m. Corvallis meets Frenchtown at 5 p.m.

MISSOULA — Hamilton pulled away in the second half to post an easy victory.

Hamilton outscored Ronan 15-1 in the final eight minutes.

Cedric Earthboy did the bulk of Ronan’s scoring, finishing with a game-high 15 points.

Hamilton tangles with Libby today at 11 a.m. Ronan follows at 3 p.m. versus Dillon.

Jack Streibich led Whitefish (1-1) in scoring with 13 points. Derek Kastella had 12 and AJ Wetsch 11.

Whitefish plays Anaconda today at 9 a.m. while Stevensville faces Columbia Falls at 1 p.m.
