Truck shears off power pole in Evergreen

A flatbed truck sheared off a power pole in Evergreen around 2:30 p.m. Monday, causing a minor power outage in Evergreen and Kalispell.
The truck struck the pole in front of Pacific Steel and Recycling on Flathead Drive.
Wendy Ostrom Price, public relations officer for Flathead Electric Cooperative, said the knocked-down pole caused about a 10-minute outage for nearly 60 customers, most nearby.
Ostrom Price said the pole will have to be replaced.
