Bonnie Louise 'Pepper' Amundson, 81

Bonnie Louise "Pepper" Amundson, 81, passed away of natural causes at her Kalispell home on Dec. 19, 2014.

Pepper was born April 16, 1933 in Retsil, Washington. She grew up in Port Orchard, Washington. She went on to Business College after high school. On May 20, 1989, Pepper married Donald Amundson in Portland, Oregon. They had been married for more than 25 years. Pepper worked for Kelly Services in Portland doing all sorts of secretarial work.

In her spare time Pepper volunteered with the American Red Cross. After Sept. 11, 2001, she spent a month at Ground Zero assisting any way she could. When Hurricane Katrina struck, Pepper went to Louisiana to assist in the clean up efforts there as well.

Pepper also enjoyed crocheting, playing pinochle, crossword puzzles and reading, especially Stephen King novels. Pepper will surely be missed.

Pepper was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Don, of Kalispell; her pets, Miss Eboni and Salie Mae; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Curly Weidner; mother-in-law, Isabelle Dougherty, all of Kalispell; and brother Arlyn (Karen) Amundson, of Polson.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Flathead County Animal Shelter. At Pepper’s request, there will be no services.
