Child reports being molested by another child

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office was called about a 12-year-old Kalispell girl who reported several years of molestation by a family member who was also a child. The crime had allegedly been ongoing for five years and had only stopped a few weeks ago after he was caught.  

A couple on U.S. 2 was causing a scene after the woman punched the man repeatedly before getting in her vehicle. The man was holding a child while he was being punched.

A caller in Hungry Horse notified authorities that when she was taking her 5-year old daughter to her father’s house, the man’s boyfriend beat her up and “bit her finger off.” She said her finger was bleeding profusely and she wasn’t sure if the tip was still there.

A man reportedly wandered into a Monte Vista Drive home in Columbia Falls and began eating their food. He wasn’t aggressive or combative, but was either drunk or under the influence of drugs. He was finally removed by law enforcement and brought to his own residence.

Emergency agencies responded Tuesday evening for a two-vehicle head-on collision on U.S. 93 south of Whitefish. At least two people were injured in the crash.

A Colorado Avenue resident called Whitefish Police to report hearing a little girl screaming. She had been screaming for 20 minutes, the caller said, and was now just crying. The man said she was coughing and gagging as well, but did not hear any adults or any other noises.

A contractor working on Martha Road called Columbia Falls Police when he found the front door kicked in on a house he was inspecting. Sheet rock inside the residence had been damaged as well.

A 12th Street West woman called after her 5-year-old grandson said his mom’s boyfriend let him drive the car, ride without a car seat and was drinking a beer while driving.

Kalispell Police took a call about a couple fighting next to a Christmas tree roadside stand, smacking each other while walking away from the trees.

A woman reported some things had been stolen from her storage locker on North Meridian Road. Meanwhile, some boxes of things that had been placed in her locker matched the description to other stolen merchandise in a different call.

A 13-year old girl was receiving messages from a 30-40 year old man on Instagram telling her to stop messaging his son. The girl’s mother was advised to cancel the Instagram account or figure out how to block people.

The Somers-Lakeside Fire Department responded to a 4:45 p.m. call regarding a motor vehicle fire on Bierney Creek Road in Lakeside.
