Kalispell man shot to death in Libby
LIBBY — A Libby woman told Lincoln County deputies that she shot her son-in-law to death after he threatened her on Friday night.
Sheriff Roby Bowe said 31-year-old Michael Leonard Roloff of Kalispell died at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center after being shot in the chest with a .22-caliber handgun.
Bowe said Lois Kay Olbekson, 57, called 911 at around 10:15 p.m. to report she had shot Roloff. Deputies found him lying in Olbekson’s driveway at 248 Glendale Ave.
Sheriff’s deputies started performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation on Roloff, who was pronounced dead at the Libby hospital just before 11 p.m.
Bowe says no arrest has been made and no charges have been filed. The shooting remains under investigation.
