Glacier Nationals beat Yellowstone Quake in double overtime
CODY, Wyo. — Padraic Ripple scored a power play goal 29 seconds into the second overtime to give the Glacier Nationals a 6-5 win over the Yellowstone Quake in a AWHL conference hockey game on Saturday night.
Ripple had three points in the game to lead the Nationals, assisting on the first two goals of the night. The game-winner was the Nationals’ third power play goal of the night, taking advantage of a Quake kneeing minor with 42 seconds left in the first overtime. It was Yellowstone’s 25th penalty of the night, in a heated game that saw five fights and two ejections.
