Basketball roundup: Epperly, Michaels lead Glacier past Helena
HELENA — Helena High roared back with a 26-point fourth quarter, but the Bengals still fell short in losing a Western AA boys basketball game to Glacier on Thursday evening, 75-71.
Evan Epperly tallied 28 points for Glacier (6-7 overall, 3-2 league). He was 12 of 19 shooting from the field and 3 of 6 at the free throw line.
Bryan Michaels was close behind with 24 points. He was 4 of 5 from 3-point range. As a team, the Wolfpack hit 10 of 20 treys.
Glacier trailed 17-12 after the opening quarter and 30-29 at the half.
The Wolfpack outscored Helena 28-15 in the third period.
Glacier is back in action tonight at No. 1 Helena Capital.
