Phone call scares woman into office

A woman calling from her job on Hutton Ranch Road told Kalispell Police she had a telephone call from a person who said, “This is a serious matter that only you can know about and if you don’t listen you could get severely hurt.” The woman dropped the phone and locked herself in her office with her cell phone.

Kalispell Police got a report Sunday regarding a vehicle being broken into on First Avenue East North. The passenger window was smashed and a handgun was stolen.

A vehicle was broken into on U.S. 93 South and about $40 in change was stolen.

There was a report of a woman stealing makeup from a store on Third Avenue East North.

Monday morning, there was a report of a burglary at a store on First Street East. A computer, cash, a cell phone and some products were stolen.

 The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a call at about 2:40 a.m. Monday from a man who said he was being harassed by another man who was throwing snowballs at his house on Fourth Street West in Hungry Horse. It was apparently the second time the man has been harassed with snowballs.

On Sunday, there was a report of checks being stolen from a home on Coram Stage Road.

A person calling from Whitefish Mountain Resort reported skis being stolen.

There was a report of a male inmate threatening others at the Flathead County jail.

After a traffic stop on South Main Street in Kalispell, a person was arrested.

Whitefish Police got a report Sunday regarding a stolen van that was located just off Baker Avenue. The van was turned over to its lawful owner.

Early Monday, at abut 1 a.m., a Kalispell Avenue resident reported that an extremely intoxicated man was outside, knocking on the door. Apparently the man did live in the area but was at the wrong residence.

 Columbia Falls Police got a call from a Seventh Street West resident who said people in a neighboring apartment were smoking pot, and the smoke was coming through a vent into her apartment. The neighbors were notified about state laws pertaining to marijuana.

 A vehicle accident around 5 p.m. Monday closed Montana 35 near the Flathead River bridge. A difficult extrication process was underway for people trapped in a vehicle.
