FFA students shine in career events

Flathead FFA students earned a series of awards during Feb. 8 Western FFA District competition Feb. 8 in three Career Development Events.

Team members competed in Agronomy, Agricultural Mechanics and Agricultural Sales categories.

Individual placements are as follows:

Agriculture Mechanics — Ross VanLuven, first place; Gavin Ruud, third place; Zach Sanders, sixth place; and Daniel Topp, 10th place.

Agricultural Sales — Kaestra Gorder, first place; Christina Fister, second place; Destiny Brewer, fourth place; and Gabe Serrano, seventh place.

Agronomy — Kaitlin Uskoski, seventh place; Sarah Peterson, eighth place; and Hannah Bass, 10th place.

Flathead FFA is now preparing for district competition in speaking events Feb. 17 in Victor.
