Gun threats leave husband fearful
A harried husband stopped by the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report that his wife had pointed a gun at him that morning and threatened to kill herself before he took their daughter to school, and that he was now afraid to go home. Before leaving the Lobo Trail home, he last saw his weapon-wielding wife lying in bed with a .38-caliber Ruger in her hands. The woman was later determined not to be suicidal.
A tantrum-throwing teen was reported to the sheriff’s office by her mother after the 14-year-old started cutting things up at the Addison Square home with a pair of scissors. Both the girl and her parents were given options for dealing with similar situations in the future. No charges were pursued.
Shortly after a woman reported her sister and husband were fighting outside an East California Street home, the husband called to report both women for trespassing. The sister later left.
A confused Lee Road woman in Bigfork received a bill in the mail for a day care in California. Not only was the location incorrect, but she reported she is retired and has no child care needs in the first place.

An upset East Third Street business owner contacted the Whitefish Police Department to have a pickup truck moved after it was left in front of his business in a two-hour parking zone. The owner had just bought a safe and needed to unload it. A 24-hour parking violation and a citation for overtime parking were posted on the truck.
An officer stopped to check on a person out with their vehicle on U.S. 93 South at 1 a.m. and discovered the person was fine and on the way to a late-night workout.
The allegations of a man who reported he dropped his wallet in a Central Avenue bar and that someone else was now using his money to gamble were discovered to be unfounded.

A multi-vehicle crash temporarily shut down U.S. 93 approximately four miles north of Polson for more than an hour Tuesday morning. Both lanes of traffic approaching the accident were directed along detours.
While no one was injured in the collision, a two-vehicle accident on Montana 35 blocked the northbound lane of the highway for nearly two hours. The Montana Highway Patrol and Creston Fire Department responded to the crash.
