Olan Carroll Blythe, 81

Olan Carroll Blythe, 81, of Columbia Falls died Jan. 3, 2014, at Health Center Northwest in Kalispell.  

Olan was born in Brevard, N.C.

He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War from 1950 to 1954. He then became a brick mason in Wrightwood, Calif., where he met and married his wife Joyce in 1963. They then had a daughter, Elaine, in 1970, and a son, David, in 1975. They moved to Montana in 1980, where they have lived since.

Olan is survived by his wife, Joyce; his daughter, Elaine Samples and her husband, Keith, and three grandchildren, Garrett, Levi and McKenna; and his son, David Blythe and his wife, Anne, and three grandchildren, Tanis, Allie and Natalie.

No funeral will be held. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls. Columbia Mortuary is caring for the Family.
