Flathead County Commissioner Pam Holmquist was reappointed chairwoman of the board on Monday as commissioners reorganized for the coming year.

Commissioner Cal Scott will serve as vice chairman.

The commission changes its leadership assignments annually. The chairman’s duty is to lead the commissioners’ proceedings.

A couple of changes were made in committee assignments.

At Commissioner Gary Krueger’s suggestion, Scott will serve on the Agency on Aging board instead of Krueger.

Krueger will take Holmquist’s place on the Local Emergency Planning Committee.

Scott said four of the boards he was assigned to last year haven’t met or are inactive. They include the 911 Funding Formula Committee; Health Board Review Committee; Resource, Conservation and Development Technical Advisory Committee; and Western Montana Regional Juvenile Detention Board.

Holmquist noted that two of the committees on her list also have disbanded or are inactive. Those are the Flathead Regional Wastewater Management Group and Whitefish Community Wastewater Committee.
