Show your artistic 'Love' with Bigfork museum

| January 9, 2014 10:21 AM

The Bigfork Museum of Art & History is asking artists to “"Show Us a Little Love! II"

All are invited to participate in this show that features “little” pieces of art — no larger than 12 inches on the longest side for two-dimensional work, and no larger than 12 inches across for three-dimensional work.

The theme is broad — contribute a piece that shows what you love. Your favorite pet; a beautiful western Montana sunset; Glacier National Park; chocolate cake — anything you love that fits the size requirement. Also submit a short story explaining why you submitted that particular piece and how you think it fits the theme.

The museum also encourages you to submit original Valentine's cards. The cards should be 4 inches by 6 inches, 5 inches by 5 inches, or 5 inches by 7 inches.

The entry fee is $5 for adults and free for art students in grades K-12. There is no entry fee for Valentine's cards.

Drop-off times are Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., or Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. The show runs from Feb. 8 — March 9. Entry forms are available at the museum at 525 Electric Ave. or at www.bigforkmuseum.org
