Basketball roundup: Vikings sweep Glacier
Brittany Tackett scored eight of her game-high 18 points in the fourth quarter to lead Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to a 60-46 nonconference girls basketball victory over Glacier on Monday at Glacier High School.
Coeur d’Alene (17-0) outscored Glacier (5-3) 15-8 in the final frame to pull away.
Sara Chalich added 17 points for the Vikings.
Hailee Bennett topped Glacier in scoring with 13 points. Cassi Hashley added 10.
Turnovers and few free throw opportunities cost the Wolfpack in this one. Glacier had 24 turnovers to 12 for Coeur d’Alene and was 0 for 2 from the charity stripe compared to Coeur d’Alene hitting 9 for 10.
Glacier is back in action tonight with a nonconference outing at Class A Libby. Glacier travels to Idaho on Saturday to face Lake City.
