He didn't have a license to steal

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a call Wednesday from First Street West in Martin City with a woman saying that it appeared someone took her car the night before and damaged the front end. She said whoever did it left a backpack with a fishing license inside. Deputies are hoping to reel in a suspect.

A woman calling from U.S. 2 West in the Kila area asked for assistance in getting an unwanted former renter removed from her property.

A man calling from the Marion area had questions about the welfare of some donkeys and dogs that belonged to a person who recently died.

A property manager for a residence on Welf Lane said someone had forced open the front door, but it didn’t appear there was any other damage.

Early Thursday, at about 1:45 a.m., a man reported that he was assaulted at a bar in Marion. The man was calling from the emergency room at the Kalispell hospital, where he was transported by the Marion Fire Department.

Two people called to report they nearly hit several horses that were loose on U.S. 2 East in the Columbia Falls area.

A man calling from Ridgewood Drive reported that he was followed home on foot from a supermarket by two men who then started throwing snowballs at the windows of his home and banging on the back of the house.

A woman calling from Barron Way reported to Kalispell Police that her 13-year-old was throwing things at her and threatening her.

A woman reported that she was being followed by her ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend from the courthouse to the mall. The two reportedly doing the following were eventually stopped by an officer.

There was a report of a man entering a bar on U.S. 93 South and attempting to steal drinks.

An 11-year-old girl called to say she walked into her home and found her mother having sex in the living room with her boyfriend. The girl said she felt unsafe. The matter was referred to child protective services.

Thursday morning, a woman called from Ninth Avenue West to report she had a “crazy cat” problem, with a cat that has been chasing her children and terrorizing her family. She said the cat was contained but she wanted someone to come pick it up.

A man calling from Seventh Avenue West wanted to report the theft of a vehicle. He said he loaned his truck to another man about two weeks ago and it hasn’t been returned.

The Montana Highway Patrol arrested a man for drunk driving Wednesday night near a bar off U.S. 93 in Lakeside.

Whitefish Police got a call Wednesday from the North Valley Hospital emergency room, where there was a woman being treated after being hit by a car on the viaduct.

A man calling from Crestwood Drive wanted assistance in having his mother-in-law evicted. The man’s estranged wife moved to Missoula, the mother-in-law moved into his home with his children, and then she refused to leave.
