Flood of '64: Readers invited to share their stories, photos

Do you have a good story to share about the flood of 1964?

The Daily Inter Lake is looking for personal memories and photographs for a book that will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the once-in-a-lifetime weather event.

Area residents may bring their photos to the Inter Lake office to be scanned from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday. Photos also may be dropped off to be scanned and will be returned to you later.

The Inter Lake is located at 727 E. Idaho St., Kalispell.

Memories of the flood of ’64 may also be emailed to edit@dailyinterlake.com or can be mailed to Flood of ’64, Daily Inter Lake, P.O. Box 7610, Kalispell, MT 59904. You also may call the Inter Lake at 758-4447 to make arrangements to talk to a reporter.

The book will be available in early May.
