Grocery store customers feeling harassed

Kalispell Police got a report Sunday about a man harassing people in a parking lot on Third Avenue East North. The man was apparently walking up to people and asking them for money and their groceries. He was told to leave and not return.

A man calling from Garland Street asked for assistance in helping his adult daughter get away from her husband, who was in the reporting party’s driveway.

There was a report of a man shoplifting a beer from a store on Third Avenue East North.

After a traffic stop on west Idaho Street, a woman was arrested for drunk driving.

After a traffic stop on North Meridian Road, a man was arrested for drunk driving.

Early Monday, just after midnight, an employee at a store on Third Avenue East North said he caught two males putting beer into a backpack.

There was a report of a purse and other items stolen from a vehicle that had a window broken out on Third Avenue East.

Someone reported that tires were slashed on several vehicles, a window was broken on one, and that mailboxes had been damaged on Fifth Street West.

 

A woman calling the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office from U.S. 2 in Evergreen Sunday said deputies showed up earlier and she wanted to know why they were there. She was informed that they were looking for her son, who has a felony theft warrant for his arrest. 

There was a report of a vehicle being stolen from Third Avenue South in Martin City, but the vehicle was later found at another location.

A man calling from Rocky Woods Lane in the Bigfork area said another man showed up to pick up a boat, but the reporting party wouldn’t allow him to take it, because the boat owner didn’t pay his storage fee.

A man called from Midway Drive in the Columbia Falls area to report that his brother had been punched in the nose by someone.

There was a report of teenagers shooting pellet guns at passing vehicles on East Evergreen Drive. A deputy could not locate the culprits.

A woman calling from Twin Bridge Road in the Whitefish area said her vehicle was broken into over the weekend and her skis, a backpack and cowboy boots, along with an avalanche beacon and a $300 gas card, were taken.

Early Monday, at about 3 a.m., an upset child called from an Airport Road residence to report that his stepfather was drunk and had broken a door.

 Whitefish Police got a report Sunday about a belligerent man who was kicked out of a Central Avenue bar but continued to hang around the establishment. The man was advised to move along.

 A person called Columbia Falls Police Sunday to report that an unwanted relative tried to get into a house on Ninth Street West. The man couldn’t get in but he did break the front door trying to get in.
