Stolen wheelchair found in Kalispell
A stolen wheelchair that led to requests for help from the public by the Kalispell Police Department and Flathead Crimestoppers was located behind a tattoo parlor on East Idaho Street, sans tires. It was taken to a medical equipment business to be fixed before being returned to its owner.
The Lakeside Quick Response Unit was dispatched to the top of Blacktail Mounain Ski Area for a 12-year-old boy with a possible back injury.
An administrator at a Bigfork school contacted the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office about a 9-year-old boy who had a lighter and a diabetic testing kit bottle with marijuana inside. The child told the principal that he got it at home and that it belonged to his grandmother. A 15-year-old was found with alcohol at another Bigfork school.
A report of a suspicious man who put a garbage container on Willow Glen Drive that didn’t belong there was reported to police after he took off when the resident came outside. A responding deputy found what appeared to be a dead eagle inside a black bag in the trash.
A Rhodes Draw man reported two or three people lurking around his home and that they backed into the trees when he confronted them with a club, but a deputy said there were no footprints in the area and it appeared that there had been deer in the yard.
A considerate woman reported in advance that an interactive “Experiencing Justice” drama would be held on Blacktail Drive in Lakeside between 6 and 8 p.m. Thursday, indicating that there would be fake gunshots and screaming. The woman also notified the neighbors.
