Bear makes a ruckus at Olney home
A black bear was banging on windows and doors of a house off U.S. 93 near Olney, according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. The bear, which had previously gotten into garbage outside the house, eventually left.
A Sleepy Hollow Road resident said an electronic tablet had been stolen, possibly by a relative.
A person called to report there was a suspicious man dressed like a woman on Fourth Street West North in the Columbia Falls area. The reporting party was advised it’s not illegal for men to dress like women.
A woman calling from Jellison Road requested assistance getting an unwanted man to leave her home.
A man calling from U.S. 2 in Evergreen said another man was attempting to pawn recently stolen tools.
A woman was arrested on U.S. 2 in Evergreen for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
A man was reportedly struck in the head by someone before he was kicked out of a bar on Montana 35 in Evergreen.
There was a report from Bachelor Grade Road about a large speaker box being stolen from a vehicle.
A woman calling from Moonlight Trail reported the theft of $1,500 in cash, and the suspect was her ex-husband.
Early Tuesday, at about 12:30 a.m., a casino employee said that a man gave her a counterfeit $10 bill.
Kalispell Police got a report Monday about an intoxicated man pushing a lawnmower on Third Avenue East. The man approached some children and asked for one of their bikes, which he used to attempt a trick but instead ended up causing minor damage to the bike. The man went on his way and could not be located.
A Pheasant Run resident said items had been stolen out of a few vehicles while the reporting party was out of town.
Another caller from Pheasant Run, possibly the same one, called to say miscellaneous items had been stolen from a residence.
A woman calling from 11th Street West said an intoxicated man staggered in front of her vehicle but she was able to avoid him.

A woman reported that after she arrived at her Third Avenue East home, she found that her father’s gun, an antique picture and her jewelry had been stolen.
On Tuesday, there was a report of a storage unit being broken into on Airport Road.
Some cash and small items were stolen from a vehicle on Second Avenue East.
Windows were broken at a building on Second Street West.
An employee at a store on North Meridian Road said he was attacked by a belligerent customer who struck him several times before taking off on foot.
A motorist calling Whitefish Police on Monday said that two speeding cars on U.S. 93 forced the reporting party’s car into a ditch, causing damage to the vehicle.
A fence was vandalized on Wisconsin Avenue.
A West Seventh Street resident called to say that a strange, intoxicated man showed up on the front porch and asked if he could sleep on the floor inside. The man was transported to another location.
There were multiple complaints about fireworks being set off around town.
On Sunday night, June 29 a whitetail deer was shot on Smith Lake Road near Kila.
