DeLisa Dawn Willis, 50
DeLisa Dawn Willis, 50, devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2014, surrounded by her daughters and friends at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.
She was born on Feb. 21, 1964, in Wichita, Kan., to Jonnie Musgrove Davis and Billy Joe Davis.
DeLisa’s husband Frank Willis preceded her in death, and survivors include her daughters, Stacia Denton and Amanda Fowler, as well as her son-in-law Chad Fowler, her beloved grandchildren, Aspen and Reece Fowler, two brothers Billy and Shawn Davis, and a host of treasured nieces and nephews. Of DeLisa’s extended family, her aunt and uncle, Jan and PC Musgrove, and cousins, Josh, Tiffany and Kari Musgrove, all held a special place in DeLisa’s heart.
During her active years, DeLisa worked both as an accountant in Kalispell and as the owner of a small horse-racing business in Victor, Mont. Her love for horses and all living things guided DeLisa throughout her life, and maintained her in her time of trial. Many loved her, many cared for her, and her kindness and generosity will be missed by all who knew her.
Jonnie Musgrove Davis, DeLisa’s mother, preceded her in death by three days — best friends in life, “they are now together in eternity.”
A celebration of both DeLisa and Jonnie’s lives will be held at 11 a.m. on July 5 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, located at 1380 Whitefish Stage Road, Kalispell. A small reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Veterans Pantry or a charity of your choice.
