U.S. 2 open to full traffic after gas-main problem

A gas-main incident Wednesday morning closed down southbound lanes of U.S. 2 in Evergreen just north of Montana 35.
The highway was reopened to full traffic shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday.
According to an alert at 10 a.m. from the Montana Department of Transportation, southbound traffic is reduced to one lane (the center turn lane).
The main southbound lanes have been closed for emergency repairs.
Both northbound lanes remain open.
The lane closures are expected to be in place until 1 or 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Local drivers should consider alternate routes.
