| July 5, 2014 1:01 PM

Roger Dean Jacobson, 75, a Kalispell native, passed away on June 25, 2014, at Brendan House.

Roger was born Sept. 3, 1938, and graduated from Flathead County High School in 1956, and Montana State University in 1960. He then entered the Army and served in Korea before working as a banker and becoming a real estate appraiser.

Roger met Sharon Thomas of Norwalk, Conn., in Glacier National Park while camping and they were married on July 11, 1964. They built a beautiful home on Hartt Hill, where Roger gardened and mowed his big yard. Roger spent his free time duck hunting, enjoying the outdoors, eating gourmet food and searching for fine wine. The couple enjoyed traveling and spent winters in Mexico and Arizona after retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon, of Kalispell; daughter, Courtney, her husband, Hector Luque, and grandchildren, Alex and Michael, of Washington, D.C.; and his brother, Doug, of California.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to offer special thanks to all friends who have offered support and love over the past few years.
