Guns, drugs, delusions worth a warning
Officers in Spokane notified the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office of a man who had left the area and was en route to Williston, North Dakota, in a red Toyota pickup. The man is reportedly on methamphetamine, believes that law enforcement is after him, and has guns and explosives in the truck. He also supposedly believes that he works with law enforcement and, according to the reporting party, is delusional.
Deputies responded to a report of two sisters fighting physically over some belongings Tuesday. One of the sisters sprayed cleaning solution in the other’s eyes. A boyfriend of one of the women broke the two up and later found a methamphetamine pipe in one of the fighter’s beds.
A bedridden woman on Moonlight Trail heard noises downstairs and called police. The intruder turned out to be a dog that came in through the doggie door.
A man came to the sheriff’s office to report a fraudulent check. The man had an item for sale on Craigslist, and someone from Florida sent him a check for more than the item was worth and asked him to send the excess to a third party. The man called the bank, which notified him that the check was no good. This scam has been around for quite a while, and police warn everyone to use common sense before sending money to strangers.
A deer was spotted on Montana 35 that was possibly struck by a vehicle and seemed unable to get up.
A theft was reported from North Riding Road. A man said his .44-caliber Smith & Wesson pistol was stolen from his desk, and he believed it was taken by a family friend.
Officers were called on a report of littering near Harmony Court A man had pulled his vehicle over, opened his car door and placed food wrappers and a Taco Bell bag on the ground. The trashy offenders turned out to be teenagers, whose father brought them back to the location to pick up the garbage. In a show of c ommunity spirit, however, an unknown good Samaritan had already disposed of the litter.
Two male roommates had to be separated after a verbal argument that was escalating when one man threatened to hit the other with his bottle of Black Velvet. The parties were separated by police.
Four to five horses were spotted running northbound on Farm to Market Road at about 11:30 p.m. Officers corralled the horses in a fenced area and shut the gate.
The Kalispell Police Department responded to a report of young teenagers swimming in the river Tuesday at Lawrence Park. When a man told them it was unsafe, they started swearing at him and were also cussing at another individual in the park.
A man passed out in a bathroom at a location on First Avenue East North with his pants down and his face on the floor. He had been in the bathroom drinking stolen beer.
A gun was stolen overnight on Tuesday night from a vehicle that was left unlocked on Sunset Court.
Whitefish Police received a call from a man Tuesday saying he believed someone had tried to poison his dog. The man went on to say the dog had possibly been sprayed with pepper spray.
A young boy was seen riding his bike on U.S. 93 South and the reporting party was worried about him being on the highway alone. Police located the boy, 12, who was just returning home from a sleepover.
A man went to the birth center in Whitefish and asked for the Social Security number of a baby born at the hospital. The man stated he had rape charges on his record, and after the hospital refused to give him any information, he threatened to kill the mother of the child.
A man working at East Second Street found a note on his car that read, “I saw someone hit your car, call for more info,” with a phone number listed.
