Nathan Orin Lee, 82

Nathan Orin Lee, 82, passed away June 11, in Kalispell. 

He was born Sept. 17, 1931, in West Hartford, Conn., to Nathan and Pearl (Dean) Lee.

Nate was a detective for the town of West Hartford for most of his career. 

He served four years in the U.S Marine Corps. During his tenure he earned a Purple Heart Medal, Presidential Unit Citation with one star, Korean Service Medal with four stars, the United Nations Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal (first award). After the Marines, Nate joined the U. S. Army for three years, serving in the 101th Airborne Division. There he earned the Good Conduct Medal and a parachutist badge. Nate loved his country and serviced it for most of his life. 

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He moved to Montana 20-plus years ago from Connecticut. He loved his home and the friends he made in the Big Sky Country. Nate was a life member of the Bigfork Gun Club. 

Nate was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Ace Lee. 

He is now survived by one brother, Frederick Lee, of Springfield, Vt.; two sisters, Beverly Dutko of Hartford, and Glenna Niro and husband Francisco of Newington, Conn.; one sister-in-law, Cathy Lee, of Avon, Conn.; with many nieces and nephews located across the county
