Leftists have just been making excuses for their own malfeasance

I am so sick and tired of reading the trash coming from the dedicated “leftists” who are so in the tank for those who lay allegiance to an ideology that is on target to destroy America and all they can do is make excuses for their own malfeasance.  

On May 11, Wes Higgins began his screed with, “speaking of lies and obfuscation” and from there went on to submit his rant in response to the editor’s “2 cents” column.

It seems Mr. Higgins is upset about the special committee on Benghazi. Evidently he has minimal regard for exposing the issues and questions that remain unanswered regarding the tragedy of 9/11/12. Yes, I agree that the number of investigative committees seems to have been a bit over the top. But sadly, that is the process established by both parties. 

That needs to be fixed but that was not the reasoning of Mr. Higgins. His only concern was that the Republicans (and Fox News) might get to the truth. The left does not have a reputation for seeking absolute truth. They only want to see whatever it is that will get the “left” off the hook for errors, misleading commentary, lies, innuendo, obfuscation of facts and a dereliction of integrity and honesty.

We hear from Mr. Higgins that “the witch hunt” is an on and off  proposition depending on how the Republicans react to the news of the moment. Poppycock!

More of the usual tripe. He then states that “ObamaCare is proving to belay the fears and commentary of the ‘right’.” We will see when October arrives and the new rates are released how Higgins and his truth hit squads disseminate their rabid excuses and obfuscation of facts. The latest reports on the insurance rates under the ACA shows they have risen over 8 percent, the deductibles and out of pocket costs are out of sight and there is a long time to go until October.

Yes, the Republicans need to get their act together and begin standing up for what is right in America. The Democrats have a lock on misleading the public and creating a deadlock on getting legislation passed. The Republicans have sent over 40 bills to the Senate but the dictator Reid refuses to allow them to the floor. The GOP can’t even get an up or down vote. Why are the Dems so fearful? Afraid of what? Truth?

Oops! The word dictator referring to Reid may be a bit strong for some but I repeat... truth matters and anyone who keeps an eye on the happenings in the Senate has seen with their own eyes the measure of the Senate majority leader. No concern about the country, only what he deems to be helpful to the progressive movement in America. 

Mr. Higgins referenced the Bush years and the vast number of Embassy hits under his watch and the number of deaths that occurred. Nonsense, sir. You will not get away with trying to make a major mistake under the present State Department excused by you creating a straw-man scenario. I just don’t quite understand how you and other progressives can dismiss the deaths of four Americans , murdered while in service to their country, in order to sidestep bringing the responsible parties to justice. That is the travesty here.

You close by suggesting the GOP is the “party of no.” If that means saying no to lies and misleading the folk, creating false scenarios, saying no to a bad health-care bill, saying no to the mistreatment of veterans and saying no to careless and irresponsible spending of the people’s money, then go ahead… count on them being the party of no. 

And Mr. Higgins, let’s talk about who brought who to the dance. In my opinion the dance card has been controlled by the leftists for the past 5 1/2 years… it’s so easy to recognize and  might even be called the “two-step boogie.” Two steps to the left and then two steps to the left and then …well you get the picture.
