Science conference on Yellowstone in October
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — This year’s Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem science conference will focus on the challenges and opportunities posed by crossing environmental, disciplinary and jurisdictional boundaries.
The Biennial Scientific Conference is scheduled for Oct. 6-8 in Mammoth Hot Springs, Wyoming.
The conference’s featured speakers include conservationist and author Craig Groves of The Nature Conservancy; fire ecologist, author, and University of Wisconsin professor Monica Turner; and Southern Methodist University professor, historian, and author Robert Righter.
The conference series began in 1991. Its goal is to encourage awareness and application of wide-ranging, high-caliber scientific work on the Yellowstone region’s natural and cultural resources.
