People who plan to enter 4-H, FFA and Open Class livestock competitions and events at this year’s Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo must do so by 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 1 or as indicated by the department they are entering.

No late entries will be accepted.

Entry forms are available at the fair’s website (www.nwmtfair.com), the fairgrounds office or in the back of the 2014 premium book, which is available for free at local chambers of commerce and libraries.

Competitors are encouraged to register online

“Save the gas and enter online this year,” Fairgrounds Manager Mark Campbell said in a news release. “It’s a very simple process that saves everyone time and results in a quicker turnaround on award payments.”

Competitors may also mail, fax, or deliver registrations to the fairgrounds office.

The theme of this year’s fair is “Stirrup Some Fun!” The fair is Aug. 13-17 at the Flathead County Fairgrounds in Kalispell.

The fair will feature a night of Christian contemporary music with live performances by For King and Country and Building 429 on Aug. 12. Country music star Chris Young will take the stage  Aug. 13. Both shows are sponsored by Kalispell Toyota.

In addition to the concerts, the fair will feature three nights of PRCA Rodeo action Aug. 14-16.

A Demolition Derby will close the fair on Aug. 17. Tickets for the concerts, PRCA Rodeo, and Demolition Derby can be purchased at the fairgrounds office or online at www.nwmtfair.com.
