Lorence Wayne Frost, 85

Lorence Wayne Frost, 85, died on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Mountain View Manor in Eureka.  

He was born Jan. 9, 1929, in Eureka to Floyd and Edna Greene Frost. He grew up and attended school in Eureka, and graduated from Lincoln County High School with the class of 1946.

Wayne married Opal Roberts on June 28, 1947, in Hardin. He went to work in the woods as a sawyer for over 40 years. He worked on weekends as a guide for Jack Stamper. He retired in 1986 due to his health. He served on the Lincoln County High School Board for over 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and woodworking.

Survivors include a daughter, Barb Roose of Missoula; a son, Brad Frost of Greeley, Colo.; sisters, Bobbie Johnson, Jackie Holder and Vivian Purdy, all of Eureka, and Helen Riebe of Kalispell; brothers, Ken Frost and Gerry of Rexford, and Stan Frost and Barbara of Three Forks; grandchildren, Brandon, Blaine, Lauren, Tracie, Lisa, Kim, Scott and Sandy; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 21 at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Eureka. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22 at the First Baptist Church in Eureka.
