Legion baseball: Mavs down Lakers; Libby rips Sandpoint
The Kalispell Lakers AA dropped their final home game of the American Legion baseball season on Sunday afternoon at Griffin Field.
The Lakers held a 1-0 lead after two innings, but a 10-run fourth by the Mavericks and a four-run seventh led to a 16-10 Missoula victory.
Jake Barstow, who drove in six runs, and Colton Wyley both went 3 for 4 for Kalispell. Both players doubled and tripled.
Charlie Obermiller also doubled for the Lakers.
The Lakers conclude regular-season play with road doubleheaders on Tuesday at Bozeman and Sunday at Great Falls.

LIBBY — Oliver Grupenhoff drove in five runs on three hits and scored three times as Libby’s Loggers crushed the Sandpoint Lakers (Idaho) in nonconference play.
Libby ripped 11 hits, scoring five runs in the first inning, two in the fourth and eight in the sixth.
Cameron Burkes, 2 for 4, and Collin Johnson, 1 for 3, had three RBIs each.
Luke Haggerty also had two hits for the Loggers.
Libby will compete in the District Tournament, which starts Wednesday in Kalispell.
