Janice Toftoy (Aaberg) McCann, 69
Janice Toftoy (Aaberg) McCann, 69, of Lakeside passed away unexpectedly on July 16, 2014, at her daughter’s home in Missoula.
Jan was born in Great Falls. She married another Great Falls native and eventually moved to Bozeman where she earned her degree in geriatrics and worked at Hillcrest Retirement Home. Jan had two daughters while living in Bozeman. After she raised her daughters, Jan moved to Lakeside to care for her father.
In June 1996, she married Robert McCann and they resided in Lakeside together, taking care of their dogs and fishing whenever they could.
Jan was a kind person and had many friends. She believed in random acts of kindness. She loved bluebirds and created her own bluebird trail, putting up bluebird houses around Bozeman.
Jan was preceded in death by her mother and father.
Jan is survived by her husband of 18 years, Bob; her brother, Steve Toftoy of Tacoma; daughters, Susan and Pete Firth of Missoula, and Kristi Aaberg of Billings; three grandchildren, Cheyenne, Triston and Joshua; and Bob's family, Doug McCann, Shelly (McCann) Talkington, and kids Casey and Brittany.
Jan will be truly missed by her friends and family.
“We are put at ease knowing she is in a better place, catching up with her mom and dad, and watching over her friends and family.”
Services and celebration of her life will be later this summer or early fall.
