A Kila man was killed in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday evening.

Fredrick Clinton Ellis, 55, was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead. The accident occurred at mile marker 106 near the intersection of Rogers Lake Road and U.S. 2 West.

The crash occurred at about 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The Montana Highway Patrol says Ellis’ pickup was traveling east toward Kalispell and went to make a left turn. A second pickup in a no-passing zone struck Ellis’ vehicle on the driver’s side.

The driver of the second vehicle and two passengers had minor injuries.

The accident is under investigation.
