FVCC plans Big Night fundraiser on June 12
The Flathead Valley Community College art department will present the Big Night 4 on June 12.
The event, which raises money for student scholarships for the college’s Semester in Venice program, gives the scholarships to students who would otherwise not be able to afford it.
Last year’s event — the third Big Night — raised more than $20,000 and provided six students with “La Serenissima” scholarships ranging from $3,500 to $6,000.
The event will take place at 6 p.m. on June 12 in FVCC’s Arts and Technology building. Tickets are $75 a plate, $40 of which is tax deductible.
Attendees will be treated to an Italian feast out together by students of The Culinary Institute of Montana at FVCC and instructor chef Howard Karp.
The menu includes savory meats, myriad pasta choices, fish and dessert. Coffee, tea and Italian wines will be served with dinner as well.
A live auction and short program about the college’s semester in Venice.
